This past weekend was the Second Annual Wrightsville Beach Quintiles Marathon and Half Marathon event which brought approximately 2500 runners for both race events. The race course is one-of-a-kind for our area, bringing runners around the island of Wrightsville Beach, all around the Landfall community, through the neighborhoods of Mayfaire and finishing up at Mayfaire Town Center.
It was a great race day – overcast and cool – with the wonderful backdrop of Wrightsville Beach, Landfall, and Mayfaire. We hope the runners enjoyed the area and the course and are planning their training for next year’s race!
We want to congratulate all the runners of the Quintiles Marathon and Half Marathon and thank the event organizers, sponsors, and volunteers who brought it altogether. This is a wonderful event for our area, at a beautiful time of year.
