Wrightsville Beach Pier to Pier Swim

Wrightsville Beach is proud host of the Annual Pier to Pier Swim benefiting the Cape Fear Aquatic Club.  The race is 1.7 miles in the open ocean waters of Wrightsville Beach (with prevailing current) from the Johnny Mercer Pier to the Oceanic Pier.

The 2010 Pier to Pier Swim will take place on Saturday, September 18 at 9 am.

If you’re not up to actually competing in this race put on by the Wilmington Family YMCA and sponsored by the Village Pharmacy of Hampstead, it is a great race to watch! Come out to cheer on the athletes and enjoy what will likely be another gorgeous day at the beach!
