The Wilmington Family YMCA is putting on its Annual Sprint Triathlon in Wrightsville Beach, NC on Saturday, September 25, 2010 beginning at 7:00 am.
This race begins with a 1500 meter swim, point to point, in the channel between Wrightsville Beach and the mainland. The 12-mile bike portion of the race loops into the mainland and back. The 5 K run takes place on the popular Wrightsville Beach Loop.
Wrightsville Beach is an ideal and challenging Triathlon location. It provides an accommodating atmosphere for the competitors as well as the onlookers. It’s like the ultimate destination race! Enjoy the flat course, moderate temps, and beautiful scenery as you go whizzing by.
