The 2010 North Carolina Holiday Flotilla took place in Wrightsville Beach on Saturday, November 27. The fireworks display lasted 27 minutes – one minute representing each year that the lighted boat parade has made it’s rounds in Wrightsville Beach. It was a spectacular ending to a spirited parade that wound through the Intracoastal, Motts Channel, and Banks Channel.
The boat decorations, costumes, and themes this year were extraordinarily creative and festive. Here are the winners as announced at the Awards Ceremony at the Blockade Runner Resort in Wrightsville Beach and as announced on NCHolidayFlotilla.org:
