Easter Time, Wrightsville Beach Style

Considering that Easter falls in mid-April, chances are the weather will (finally!) be ideal for a full range of outdoor activities. Many local churches traditionally hold sunrise services on Easter Sunday, which is April 20th this year (2014). Please check this list of church websites for details regarding their schedule of services and activities for the Easter holiday.

Another honored and much-anticipated tradition this time of year is the Easter luncheon! Locals and visitors as well, look forward to baked ham, deviled eggs, potato salad, and spring veggies like fresh spinach and asparagus. Such delectable spreads make choosing between lemon meringue pie or coconut cake tough! Whether you decide on one of the many bountiful buffets offered by area dining establishments or prefer to pack a springtime picnic, Wrightsville Beach can provide the ideal backdrop. There are grills and picnic tables at the park-just reserve a shelter with a call to: 910.256.7925.

Visit Yelp to read user reviews and find links to menus at Wrightsville Beach Restaurants. Remember, there is no place in the world as wonderful for walking off all of those deviled eggs as The Loop or the beach!

What’s Easter without bunnies and brightly colored eggs? Be sure to load up the baskets, gather up the kids and head to the Wrightsville Beach Park on Saturday morning, April 19th for the annual Easter Egg Hunt with the Little Chapel on the Boardwalk. The festivities get underway at 9:45 am and admission is free! Prior to the thrill of the hunt, there will be an Easter-themed performance by the Puppet Theater. For more information, please call 910.256.2819.
