Congratulations to Jackson Hardee, Jim’s son, for being selected to represent New Hanover County Schools as the 2016 U.S. Presidential Scholar nominee. Each school district in the state selects one student to represent the district. Five students will then be selected to represent North Carolina at the national level.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program began in 1964 to honor some of the Nation’s top graduating seniors. The program also seeks to recognize students who show exceptional talent in the visual, creative, and performing arts. Jackson is currently in the Hoggard Adobe Academy program and is a fourth year honors German language student.
Post graduation, Jackson plans to attend NC State University.
