When the beach breezes cool down and dusk comes a little earlier, you know it’s time for Wrightsville Beach’s most delicious event – The Taste of Wrightsville Beach. Hosted by the Wrightsville Beach Foundation, this year’s gathering will be held on the waterfront at MarineMax on Saturday, October 10th, 2015 from 5pm – 8pm.
Dozens of local restaurants are set to participate in this year’s competition, with celebrity judges deciding the winners of Best Savory Dish, Best Sweet Dish, and Best Overall Dish.
People’s Choice Awards will be named by festival attendees, who can sample cuisine, beer and wine from more than 30 booths.
Proceeds from The Taste of Wrightsville Beach will help support the New Hanover County Weekend Meals on Wheels Program, and the Cape Fear Community College Pineapple Guild, a club for Hotel-
Restaurant and Culinary Technology students.
The nonprofit Wrightsville Beach Foundation also raises funds for beach beautification projects and park amenities and programs, in cooperation with the Town of Wrightsville Beach.
