SPRING 2020 PROGRAMS AT WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH PARKS & REC
SAFE SITTER® BABYSITTER TRAINING
Safe Sitter® teaches young teens (11-14) everything they need to know to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do if there’s severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice CPR and choking rescue!
The Youth League’s Basketball program is designed for kids to learn the game of basketball through strong fundamentals drills, game experience, and work ethic while having a tremendous amount of fun.
The Youth League’s Flag Football program was developed to help kids learn basic and advanced concepts of football while gaining game experience. The Wrightsville Beach Flag Football league emphasizes the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship.
It’s time to bring this musical adventure on roller skates to Wrightsville Beach! Whether you can roller skate or not, Xanadu is about following your dreams as you roll along to the original hit soundtrack which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. Xanadu is hilarity on wheels for anyone who has ever wanted to feel inspired…enough to open up your own roller disco! No audition necessary! Sign up and prepare to play improv games, act out scenes from the movie and rehearse memorable dance numbers like ELO’s “All Over the World” and “I’m Alive”!
